A new strain does not enter the GreenChill catalogue simply because its name is fashionable or its CBD level looks high. Our selection first focuses on batch consistency: an identifiable aromatic profile, presentation, freshness, available information and a fit with what the catalogue is missing.
This article describes the framework we want customers to see. It does not turn commercial selection into a laboratory protocol; it explains the questions we ask before publishing a new product.
Twenty identical flowers under different names do not help customers. We ask whether a new product adds a distinct direction: sharper Citrus, creamy Dessert, Classic Kush, fruity Exotic or another identifiable signature.
A new product needs a clear place in navigation: premium, Small Bud, Greenhouse, aroma family or discovery format. This avoids expanding the catalogue without improving choice.
Density, stem proportion, size, bud integrity and trimming give an initial picture. We do not seek one uniform shape: consistency with cultivation and positioning matters more than standardised aesthetics.
Flowers must arrive in a condition that allows their profile to be assessed. A batch that is already too dry, crumbled or aromatically depleted does not become appealing because it has a popular name.
We observe resinous appearance, but it does not replace analyses. We use it as a visual criterion alongside colour and trimming.
We record first impressions, then look for recurring notes: citrus, tropical fruit, candy, cream, gas, pine, earth, flowers or spices. Only then do we assign the strain to a GreenChill family.
A Citrus flower is not automatically sold as “energising”, nor a Kush as “sedative”. GreenChill families describe flavour and help navigate the catalogue.
Declared levels must be read alongside the available analysis. We aim to distinguish CBD content and percentage from THC content and percentage without reusing figures from a different harvest.
Indoor, Greenhouse or other methods must be confirmed by supplier information. The page must not turn an assumption or old description into a permanent fact.
The final price must fit cultivation, bud size, sorting, volume and observed quality. A product can be excellent as a Small Bud without being artificially positioned as a large premium flower.
Once selected, the product page, filters and SEO content must use the same terminology. That consistency makes the internal selection understandable to customers.
A new strain needs a reason to join the range. If it resembles three existing products too closely, even a beautiful batch may add too little. We seek contrast: true Citrus, expressive Candy, deep Kush/Gas or a distinctive Purple signature.
A strain name may be prestigious, but batch, structure, freshness and aroma decide. A poorly expressed legendary strain is less interesting than a lesser-known one grown exceptionally well.
A strain can impress on first smell and disappoint after days of comparison, or reveal more depth. Before deciding, we therefore assess aromatic identity, structure, stability and its place in the range together.
Once selected, it must also be easy to explain. A good strain is interesting; one whose profile is immediately understandable is even more compelling.
