How should you store CBD flowers, hash and trim?

Post-harvest research shows that temperature, light, oxygen and humidity influence the stability of cannabinoids and volatile compounds.

For everyday storage, choose a clean, dark place with a stable temperature and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Keep flowers in a suitable, tightly closed container, away from direct light and major temperature changes. Avoid excessive humidity and unnecessary opening.

Aromas come from volatile compounds that can gradually be lost.

Resins can become softer in the heat and firmer in the cold. Protection from light, air and high temperatures helps limit rapid changes.

Avoid containers that react with or stick heavily to the product.

Trim and small flowers may have a greater relative surface area in contact with air. Close the packaging properly after use and avoid heat, light and excessive humidity.

Cold can slow some reactions, but poorly managed very cold storage can cause condensation, temperature cycles and humidity when opening the container.

Use humidification accessories or cold storage only if the product and container are suitable and you can control the conditions.

If you notice visible mould, an unusual smell, unexpected moisture, contamination or compromised packaging, do not simply try to “salvage” the product.
